Bryan, Garnier & Co acts as the Sole Financial Advisor to Orbex and its shareholders in connection with the first close of the Series D fundraising, led by the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT)

Founded in 2015, Orbex is a UK-based spaceflight company.The company employs a diverse range of advanced materials and techniques to develop its launch vehicles in-house, including rocket engines, avionics, and other technologies.

Orbex is in the late stages of developing its flagship micro-launch vehicle, Prime, which is one of the most advanced, low-carbon, high-performance micro-launch vehicles globally. As such, the company is playing a significant role in establishing new launch capabilities in Europe.

With the completion of the first close of the Series D round, Orbex is taking significant steps in becoming a fully operational launch service provider. The secured funding will accelerate further development of Prime, with first launch expected towards the end of 2025.

Contributors to the round include the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), angel investor Sohaib Abbasi and existing investors Export & Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) and Octopus Ventures.

This marks another landmark transaction for Bryan, Garnier & Co’s satellite and new space verticals and demonstrates its industry expertise combined with its experience in leading late-stage growth financing rounds.
