Online video pioneer Mediakraft has been acquired by gamigo - one of the leading gaming companies in Europe and North America - for an undisclosed amount.
The gamigo group acquired 100% of the shares of Mediakraft Networks GmbH from the previous venture capital shareholders, who have accompanied the company’s development since 2012.
Mediakraft publishes and markets online video content and operates YouTube creator networks in Germany, Poland and Turkey and over the past few months has expanded its focus in the direction of B2B solutions making it the perfect complement to gamigo’s B2B business.
The gamigo group has more than 100 million registered user accounts and around 250 staff members in Germany, USA and Korea and functions as a publisher for free-to-play mobile and online games. It also offers solutions for business customers within the scope of the gamigo platform strategy.
The company’s core portfolio is comprised of successful games like Fiesta Online, Aura Kingdom, Shaiya, Desert Operations, Twin Saga and others.
Gamigo strives to grow its business organically as well as via acquisitions and has performed +15 M&As since 2013, including companies specializing in games and technology as well as individual game assets.
The acquisition helps gamigo AG to expand its B2B business and will immediately open up extensive additional growth prospects in social media and influencer marketing for its advertising unit.
