Bryan, Garnier & Co strengthens its Investment Banking team with the hiring of Marc-Antoine Janny as Vice President
PARIS, October 17, 2017 – Bryan, Garnier & Co, the leading pan-European Investment Bank focusing on growth companies, is delighted to welcome back Marc-Antoine Janny to its European investment banking team, based in Paris.
With over eight years of corporate finance experience in M&A and ECM, Marc-Antoine, will join the firm as Vice President and will be responsible for the origination and execution of private placement and M&A mandates for European growth companies, as well as help Bryan, Garnier & Co to leverage its footprint within its healthcare and TMT practices.
Marc-Antoine worked for Bryan, Garnier & Co as an M&A analyst from 2008 to 2011 when he left to join Michel Dyens & Co. He then founded Canary Street, the first European marketplace dedicated to the distribution of emerging designers in the home decor environment whose assets were acquired by Belgium-based e-commerce company Decovry. In 2015 he joined goetzpartners before moving back to Bryan, Garnier & Co as a Vice President. During his career, he has developed a significant experience in M&A, ECM and fundraising transactions including: Capital increase of Airlinair (subsidiary of Air France), IPO of Integragen, disposal of Vemedia to Industri Kapital, disposal of Russia-based Ekomir Pharma to Valeant and the disposal of Italy-based Sharper Therapeutics to Gruppo Indena della Beffa.

Wilson and Waanders join London Healthcare franchise as Managing Directors

Dominic Wilson and Gary Waanders have together conducted more than 15 transactions and raised over £370m since early 2014 working on numerous IPOs and secondary fund raisings. They join Bryan, Garnier & Co as Managing Directors and are tasked with leveraging their combined experience in the UK market to further strengthen the bank’s already formidable footprint in the sector across Europe.
Dominic Wilson, British, has a held a variety of positions in the healthcare sector during his long career. He started his financial work as a Healthcare analyst based in New York, for Kleinwort Benson Securities and then moved on to hold numerous senior sales positions in the UK including Head of Sales at Old Mutual Securities, Piper Jaffray Ltd as Principal, European Equity Sales, Arden Partners and, more recently, Nomura Code as Head of Sales before joining Zeus in 2013 as Head of Healthcare Sales. Dominic has a BSc (Hons) in Genetics.
Gary Waanders, Australian, has a long experience of working in the life sciences and financial sectors. Since 2001 he has been an analyst in the City of London where he has previously worked as Director of Healthcare Research at Zeus Capital, Nomura Code Securities and KBC Peel Hunt. He has also worked in industry and academia including two years managing R&D teams at a small biotech company in Canada and six years as a Post-Doctoral Research fellow at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (Lausanne Branch, Switzerland). He holds an MBA (Durham University, UK) and a PhD in Immunology from the Faculty of Medicine, Monash University, Melbourne (Australia).

Jean Cailliau joins as an Executive Advisor and brings 25 years of industry expertise and operational knowledge of mid-cap companies in the sector to the Bryan Garnier franchise. Jean has been a partner in charge of Consumer and Distribution within European private equity firms such as Vendis and Nixen after spending 17 years as an Executive within LVMH Group in various operational managing positions, including from 2001 to 2007 where he was Founding Partner of L Capital. Cartagena Capital merges with Bryan, Garnier & Co
London/Paris/Munich, January 21, 2016 — Today, Bryan, Garnier & Co, a leading pan-European investment bank that provides corporate finance and equity capital markets services to the growth sectors of the economy, announced its merger with Cartagena Capital GmbH, a premier technology advisory boutique headquartered in Munich, Germany. Cartagena Capital will be renamed Bryan, Garnier & Co. GmbH, and the combined entity will feature one of the largest Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) investment banking teams in Europe.
